"OrgelPunkt12" with Joachim Thoms (Berlin) and his program

"Labyrinth & Pleasure Garden"

This program is an improvisation concert inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach’s *Organ Mass*. Depending on the specific organ, the style remains within the Baroque and early Romantic periods or expands to include German and French Romanticism, Impressionism, and even the style of Messiaen. There are no limits to the variety of forms—ranging from preludes, fugues, and various chorale settings to fantasias and even symphonic structures.

30 Years of World Heritage

In 1996, the castle church was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an almost completely preserved prime example of 19th-century monument preservation. From 2012 to 2016, it was renovated and restored with funding from the State of Saxony-Anhalt, the Federal Republic of Germany, the European Union, and private donors.
